bookinghow do I book with you?
Fill out my consultation form with your information, tattoo idea, and any necessary references of the design you want, as well as references of my own art that matches the style you want me to use or the flash you'd like. You must be at least 18 years old on the day of your tattoo, with a valid ID, to book an appointment. what happens after I submit my inquiry?
I will reach out to you by email after I receive your inquiry. I'll ask any questions I have about your design, and if it sounds like I'm the right artist for you then we'll work on scheduling your appointment. what makes working with a tattoo apprentice different? As an apprentice, I work closely with my mentor and veteran tattoo artist Brandon Blackwood at almost every stage of the tattoo. He ensures that you are given a reasonable quote and that each design I create is ready to go on skin. Blackwood is available to answer any questions you might have at any stage in the tattoo process. As an apprentice, I have some limitations in what I'm currently allowed to tattoo and how many sits it takes me. For many pieces it is likely we will split your appointment into two sits, one for linework/blacks and one for shading/coloring. You can also expect to sit a little longer while I take my time to do a good job on your piece. how do your deposits work? You need to pay an upfront non-refundable deposit in order to secure your appointment date. It will be applied toward the cost of the tattoo on the day of. If you are unable to make your appointment, you may lose your deposit and be asked to pay a new one to re-book. A deposit does not entitled you to a reschedule, and the amount is at my discretion. An appointment can be cancelled by myself for any of the following reasons, including but not limited to: not showing up on time, showing up with an unpleasant odor or noticeably poor hygiene, showing up unprepared to receive a tattoo (being intoxicated, not having your ID on you, having an undisclosed rash or skin condition at the site, etc.), or requesting too many changes to the design such that it cannot be properly redrawn in time for the appointment or it is clear you need more time to consider the tattoo. Designs for any tattoo you do not get may be offered to other customers. do you do in-person consultations? Only on a case-by-case basis, such as needing to see your anatomy in person to help me plan a piece if photos do not suffice. Discussing the design will otherwise always be through email. what forms of payment do you accept? I only accept cash on the day of. This is shop policy. when do I see my design? I will share rough sketches or mockups as your appointment approaches to make sure I'm on target for what you want. You will likely see the final design right before or on the day of your appointment, during which you can request small adjustments. do you take walk-ins? Yes, I do. I also accept same-day appointments. If you want to guarantee that I'm available to tattoo you, it's best to submit an inquiry ahead of time. what is your cancellation policy? Please email me ahead of time if you think you may be late to your appointment or be unable to make it, and we can work to reschedule. Depending on the circumstances, you may lose your booking deposit. does the shop have other artists who might be a better fit for me? Brandon Blackwood specializes in large-scale black and gray realism, as well as color realism. Tyranicorn specializes in neo traditional and watercolor tattoos using a wide rainbow range of color. how do I protect myself from scammers using your name?
